Settings → Network & internet → SIMs (or Mobile network) → Add eSIM / Download a SIM. Or dial *#06# for an EID. Samsung Galaxy S20+, Google Pixel 3+, and many recent flagships support eSIM — menus vary by brand.
Carrier-locked phones or some regional models may block eSIM. If you only see physical SIM options, do not buy until you confirm with your device maker.
Best practice: install on Wi‑Fi 2–3 hours before departure. Keep your home SIM active for OTPs.
Open the QR email from eSim For Vietnam. Save or screenshot the QR if needed.
iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. Android: Settings → SIMs → Add eSIM → Scan QR.
Label the line “Vietnam”. After landing, turn on Mobile Data for that line. Keep Data Roaming OFF — this is a local Viettel eSIM, not a roaming plan.
After landing, disable Airplane mode. Select the Vietnam eSIM for mobile data, turn Mobile Data ON, and keep Data Roaming OFF. Wait 5–10 minutes for Viettel to register.
Do not delete the eSIM if something fails — contact support first. Deleting may consume the profile.
Your email also includes SM-DP+ / activation details for iPhone and the full LPA string for Android. Enter them under “Enter details manually”.
